AITA to host ITF Men's $15,000 tournament from Sep 8

New Delhi, Sept 6 (UNI) Rohan Gajjar will take on top seed Peter Gojowczyk of Germany in the opening round as players from Japan, Korea, Pakistan, Chinese Taipei, US and India will be seen in action in the PNB ITF Men's Futures tennis tournament which begins here from September 8.

Sunil Kumar Sipaeya is the highest seeded Indian in the 15,000 dollar event, which saw 46 players signing for the qualifying round, and will also feature Ashutosh Singh who has been seeded fifth and Divij Saran seeded eighth in the tournament.

Gojowczyk (346), who has been given the top billing, is the highest ranked player while Japan's Yuichi Sugita (467) seeded second will lock horns with Rahil Makharia of India.

Vishnu Vardhan, Ranjeet Virali, Tushar Liberhan and Rupesh Roy are some of the other Indians who have made it to the main draw.

Four Indians - Karunday Singh, Ronak Manuja, P C Vignesh and Navinder Pal Singh - have been given wild card entries for the tournament which concludes on September 13.
