Bhupathi-Henman duo crashes out in quarters

Washington, Aug 2: Mahesh Bhupathi and his new partner Tim Henman of England were shown the door in the quarter-finals of Legg Mason Tennis Classic here by third seeded Aussie-Zimbabwean pair of Paul Hanley and Kevin Ullyett.

The newly-formed unseeded Indo-British combination were handed out a straight set 4-6, 5-7 defeat by Hanley-Ullyett duo to advance into the semi-finals of the 600,000 dollar hard court event.

Bhupathi-Henman duo earlier got the better of Hyung Taik Lee of South Korea and and Michael Russell of US in their opening round here.

Meanwhile, the other Indian in the fray, Bhupathi's estranged partner Leander Paes and his Czech partner Martin Damm will take on unseeded pair of Chris Haggard of South Africa and Ivo Karlovic of Croatia in the qurter-finals.

The second seeded Indo-Czech pair had earlier defeated wildcard entrant Somdev Dev Varman of India and John Isner of US.
