Bhupathi-Sania pull out of mixed doubles

Melbourne, Jan 22: Defending champions Sania Mirza and Mahesh Bhupathi has pulled out of mixed doubles event in Australian Open, due to the latter's calf injury.

Bhupathi is said to have aggravated the injury in Thursday, Jan 21, men"s doubles first round match, which he had sustained while practicing On Monday, Jan 18.

The pull out marks the end of Bhupathi's campaign in the Australian Open, while partner Sania Mirza will be still competing in the women's double event.

Mirza crashed out of the singles event after losing to Aravane Rezai of France in straight sets on Tuesday, Jan 19.
