Bhupathi-Stepanek enters semi-finals in Munich BMW Open

Munich, May 4 (UNI) Mahesh Bhupathi and his Czech partner Radek Stepanek stormed into the semi-finals of BMW Open here with a 6-1, 7-5 victory over wild card local pair of Andreas Beck and Dominik Meffert.

The unseeded Indo-Czech pair, whose best performance this season was a runners-up finish in Dubai in February, will now meet the duo of Philipp Kohlschreiber of Germany and Mikhail Youzhny of Russia who beat Marcos Baghdatis of Cyprus and Jarkko Nieminen of Finland 1-6, 6-4, 10-5 in the quarter-finals.

In the other half of the draw, Czech pair of Jan Hajek and Jaroslav Levinsky will meet Stefan Koubek (Austria) and Olivier Rochus (Belgium).
