Bisht emerges victorious in under-14 Asian Tennis Championship

New Delhi, Mar 25 (UNI) India's Ronit Bisht today won the boys event at the under-14 Asian Tennis Championship at Jakarta while in the girls section, Natasha Palha finished runners-up.

According to information received here, Bisht beat fellow Indian Digvijay Singh 6-2, 3-6, 6-1 in a exciting encounter to emerge champion.

Meanwhile, Natasha had an off day against Doungkeaw Veena of Thailand who proved little too good for the Indian.

She did give Natasha a run for her money in the second set but eventually went down 3-6, 7-5, 0-6 in the finals to finish second best in the tournament.
