DLF tennis event for corporate houses from Oct 18

Chennai, Oct 14 (UNI) After similar ventures in Bangalore and Hyderabad, a tennis tournament for corporate houses would be held here from October 18 to 22.

The tournament is an initiative of DLF Housing Limited.

Talking to reporters here last night, DLF Chennai head K K Raman said about 90 players from 40 companies have registered for the event.

''We are expecting about 50 to 60 teams. Each team should have a minimum of two players and maximum of four,'' he said.

Each match would be of two singles and one doubles, played over best of 15 games in the group stage.

From quarterfinal onwards it would be best of three tie break sets, he said.

The finals would be held on October 22 after which the tennis event would move to Delhi.

After tennis, the DLF Corporate challenge events spread over an year included quiz, golf, squash, football and cricket to be held in four cities.
