Former Davis Cup coach Akhtar Ali to conduct special camp at CLTA

Chandigarh , Apr 5 (UNI) Former Davis Cup coach Akhtar Ali will conduct one-week exclusive coaching camp for highest performers up to the age of 18 years at the Chandigarh Lawn Tennis Association (CLTA) Stadium here from April 9 to 15.

CLTA chairman Rajan Kashyap said that 12 to 16 players from CLTA, Delhi and Dehradun would be shortlisted for the quarterly coaching camp. In addition, trainees of Chandigarh Academy for Rural Tennis (CHART) of CLTA will also attend the coaching camp under the overall supervision of distinguished tennis coach.

CLTA Director Coaching Gajendra Singh will be coordinator of the camp. Robin Kumar Dhingra and other staff of the CLTA will be assisting in the camp. The CLTA is organsing the camp to give exposure to the junior players who are aspiring to represent the country in international competitions.

Physical trainers attached with the camp are Balwinder Singh and Rajan Tiwari.

The camp will be conducted in two sessions from 8 to 10 a.m.

and 2 to 4 p.m.

Father of former Davis Cupper Zeeshan Ali, Akhtar Ali will also monitor the performance of CLTA's coaches and trainees.
