The much-anticipated final of the ITF Dharwad Men's World Tennis Tour 2023 did not disappoint, as the audience witnessed a thrilling match on Sunday.
Ramkumar Ramanathan from India won the final in a high-octane match against third-seeded Digvijay Pratap Singh, with the stadium at Dharwad District Lawn Tennis Association packed to the rafters.

These two Indian Davis Cup players, with Digvijay making his first appearance against Morocco the previous month, faced each other for the first time on the court. The tension was palpable throughout the entire game, with no break points conceded.
Ramkumar, Digvijay's senior partner, eventually triumphed with a closely contested final scoreline of 7-6 (5), 7-6 (6).
A circle has been completed for Ramkumar with this victory as the Indian tennis player won the ITF Future title some 11 years ago. The player, who bagged USD 3600, was ecstatic after the victory.
"I had been struggling with my game since the last few weeks. Capping off with a win gives me the much-needed confidence heading into my future tournaments," Ramkumar said after his impressive victory.
