The excitement is building as the seventh edition of the Laver Cup is set to take place at the Uber Arena in Berlin, Germany, from September 20 to 22, 2024.
This prestigious hard-court tennis tournament pits Team Europe against Team World, honoring the legendary Australian player Rod Laver, who remains a monumental figure in the sport.

The Laver Cup features a unique format that includes five sessions spread over three days (Friday to Sunday). Each match is played in a "best of three sets" format. In the event of a split set, a decisive 10-point match tiebreaker will determine the winner.
During the first two days, every player must participate in at least one singles match, although no player can compete in singles more than twice throughout the tournament.
Additionally, at least four out of the six players from each team are required to play doubles, with the stipulation that no doubles pairing can play together more than once unless the competition reaches a decisive tie on Day 3, at which point they can play again if the teams are tied at 12 points each.
Points are awarded based on the day: each match win on Friday is worth one point, two points on Saturday, and three points on Sunday. The first team to accumulate 13 points is declared the winner.
Should the event conclude with a tie after all scheduled matches, a final overtime doubles match, known as the "decider," will be played as a regular set, complete with ad scoring and a tiebreaker.
