Nadal hits overdrive to sink Wawrinka

MELBOURNE, Jan 20 (Reuters) Second seed Rafael Nadal made light work of Switzerland's Stanislas Wawrinka in the Australian Open today, cruising through 6-2 6-2 6-2 to book his place in the fourth round.

Nadal broke the 31st seed's serve on seven occasions to claim victory on Rod Laver Arena in two hours and three minutes and reach the last 16 for the second time. The 20-year-old Spaniard next plays the winner of the third-round clash between Britain's 15th seed Andy Murray and Argentina's Juan Ignacio Chela.
