Novak Djokovic's unbeaten streak at the All England Club since 2018 was ended by world number 1 Carlos Alcaraz of Spain in the Wimbledon 2023 final on Sunday (July 16).
Djokovic was aiming to go level for most grand slam titles by a singles player and an eighth Wimbledon title. However, the seven-time champion, who had won 34 matches since he last lost at the All England Club, suffered a 6-1, 6-7(6-8), 1-6, 6-3, 6-4 to Alcaraz.

The 23-time Grand Slam champion had suffered his last defeat at Wimbledon in 2017, when he exited in the quarterfinal round against Tomas Berdych and it was an injury that forced the Serb to retire with the score at 7-6(2), 2-0 in favour of Czech.
The 36-year-old was on a streak of 34 wins and 2,194 days without losing at the All England Club, earning him four crowns in a row, in 2018, 2019, 2021 and 2022. In 2020, the tournament was not held due to COVID pandemic.
During his unbeaten streak, he has defeated 30 different opponents, including five-set marathons against his rivals Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal. In the unbeaten run, he also dropped only a total of 18 sets, and only faced Jannil Sinner, Hubert Hurkacz, Kevin Anderson and Denis Kudla twice.
With the victory in the 2023 Wimbledon semifinal against Sinner, the Serb also extended his unbeaten run on the Center Court at the All England Club to 45 matches, the highest ever on the iconic arena by a player, male or female so far.
Djokovic has never lost on the Center Court since the 2013 final loss against Andy Murray, while he has never lost in Wimbledon since 2018, when he started the winning run against Tennys Sandgren of USA. Here is a look at his unbeaten run along with results.
