Paris 2024: N Sriram Balaji looking to fine-tune before teaming up with Rohan Bopanna for Olympics

It's only 23 days to go until the much-awaited Paris Olympics, and Rohan Bopanna and his men's doubles partner Sriram Balaji will participate in two ATP Tour events in preparation for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

Rohan Bopanna and Sriram Balaji, along with their coach and physiotherapist, will travel to Hamburg and Umag to compete in the ATP 500 events before heading to Paris.

A few days ago, myKhel spoke to N Sriram Balaji about which tournaments they will play before Paris. He said, "Yes, we are playing the Hamburg 500 and Umag 250 before the Paris Olympics."

On being picked up by Rohan Bopanna, N. Sriram Balaji said, "First of all, I'm really happy that Rohan (Bopanna) picked me. At the same time, I also feel a little sorry for Yuki (Bhambri), even though he's ranked a little higher than me. But Rohan picked me, and that is his decision. I'm glad to be part of the team, and it's like a dream come true for me."

Rohan Bopanna is currently playing at Wimbledon with his doubles partner Matthew Ebden, while Sriram Balaji is also participating in the tournament with his doubles partner Luke Johnson.

Balaji has played with Rohan before in a Davis Cup match and an ATP 250 tournament. On partnering with him again, the 34-year-old said, "He is a top player, and the level of tennis he is playing and the consistency he is showing on the court is completely different from the other partners I have had. I haven't shared the court with him in the last couple of years. Once we start playing, it will be different."

With their participation in the ATP 500 events in Hamburg and Umag, Bopanna and Balaji are set to fine-tune their game ahead of the Paris Olympics.
