Philippoussis moves back to Australia to revive his tennis career

By Super Admin

London, Mar.18 (ANI): Keen to resurrect his sagging tennis career, former world number eight Mark Philippoussis has decided to move back to Australia, his motherland.

Philippoussis has confirmed reports about a shift to Melbourne, where he is now living with his divorced mum in suburban Williamstown.

He also has plans of establishing an all-age tennis coaching clinic and launch a natty new range of orthopaedic sandals in Australia.

I want to stay in Williamstown because I love it. Everyone that I care about is here. The reason I was living in America was because, when I played tournaments, it was easy to be based there. I could go from tournament to tournament and have a week off but now that I'm not playing tournaments, I just wanted to come straight home," The Daily Telegraph quoted Philippoussis, as saying.

Philippoussis,32 last featured on an international court in 2006, however he did play in the Hopman Cup in 2007, but was defeated by Jerome Haehnel in the second match. He was forced to retire after a knee injury later. (ANI)
