Play resumes at French Open

PARIS, May 30 (Reuters) Play resumed on the fourth day of the French Open today after a 70-minute rain delay.

Earlier, matches had continued during intermittent drizzle before a heavy shower forced players off court shortly before 1800 local time.

Holder Justine Henin was 7-5 3-0 up on Austrian Tamira Paszek and fourth seed Jelena Jankovic one game shy of victory at 6-3 5-3 against Colombian Catalina Castano before the weather interruption.

Miserable weather had disrupted the first two days of the tournament but it was dry yesterday.
