Paris: Is Rafa heading for the world no 1 title?

Paris, Nov 13: Rafael Nadal took down compatriot Tommy Robredo 6-3, 3-6, 7-5 to enter the quarter finals of Paris Masters.

Seeded 14th, Robredo fought a two hour 20 minute long battle against the great Rafa on Thursday, Nov 12. While Robredo had his moments, Nadal patched up all the gaps in the game and claimed victory.

"I didn't play my best but I played better than yesterday and managed to play big rallies without making mistakes, so that's positive," Nadal said after the match.

On Wednesday, Nov 11, Rafa defeated another fellow Spaniard Nicolas Almagro.

With the other tennis legend, Roger Federer out of the way, Nadal has an opportunity to clinch the world number one title for the year.
