Rain halts play at French Open
PARIS, May 27 (Reuters) Rain has interrupted play on the main courts at the French Open after 90 minutes of action today's opening day.
Russia's Marat Safin had just beaten Spain's Fernando Vicente 6-1 6-3 6-1 on centre court and Bulgaria's Tsvetana Pironkova was leading 6-5 against American Serena Williams on the Suzanne Lenglen court when the covers came on.
