Federer, Djokovic stay on course for another duel

Dubai, Feb 25: Roger Federer may well be on course to another encounter with his Australian Open 2011 nemesis Novak Djokovic. They both secured straight-sets victory over their opponents in the Dubai Open 2011 quarter-finals.

Djokovic ended Federer's quest for a record Australian Open title, by beating him in the semi-finals of the 2011 edition of the Grand Slam. He eventually went on to beat Andy Murray in the finals, to win his maiden Australian Open Singles title.

In the Dubai Open 2011 men's quarter-final, Federer beat Ukrainian Sergiy Stakhovsky 6-3 6-4 to setup a semifinal encounter with Richard Gasquet. In another quarter-final match of the event, Novak Djokovic overcame Germany's Florian Mayer 7-5 6-4.

Speaking about the match, Federer who was given some anxious moments by Stakhovsky, said, "I thought it was a tough match, tougher than the last couple."
