Indian tennis icon Sania Mirza, who has been announced as the brand ambassador for tennis on Sony Sports Network, believes the upcoming French Open 2024 will be focused on the next generation of stars.

Mirza, celebrated for her six Grand Slam titles, will bring her expertise to Sony Sports Network's studio show 'Extraaa Serve' during Roland Garros 2024, the second grand slam of the year.

Accompanying Mirza on the panel are notable figures like Olympian Somdev Devvarman and Davis Cup player Purav Raja. Their collective experience is expected to offer in-depth analysis and perspectives on the game.

Roland Garros 2024, starting May 26, promises excitement and surprises, given its reputation as the toughest Grand Slam surface. Sony Sports Network plans to broadcast the event in four languages: English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu, aiming to cater to a diverse Indian audience.

Rajesh Kaul of Sony Pictures Networks India expressed delight over the partnership with Mirza, emphasizing the network's role as India's home of tennis. Mirza herself shared her excitement about continuing with Sony Sports Network and her eagerness to contribute to the sport's growth in India. Somdev Devvarman also conveyed his enthusiasm for being part of the broadcast team for Roland Garros 2024.

Somdev Devvarman also voiced his anticipation for Roland Garros 2024, predicting a tournament filled with new talent and excitement. This edition of Roland Garros, known for its rigorous clay surface, will be its 128th, with Rafael Nadal seeking his 15th title after a break due to injury. Novak Djokovic and Jannik Sinner are also among the top contenders.
