Bangalore, Feb 27 (UNI) Indian tennis sensation Sania Mirza has a huge potential and the right talent to break into top ten in the world, four-time Wimbledon Champion Venus Williams has said.
Replying to a questionnaire sent by city-based journalists, the California born 27-year-old said, ''I recently played Sania in Australia and it is clear that she is talented and has got huge potential and can reach the top ten on the WTA ladder.'' Venus said she was excited to play in Bangalore Open beginning here on March 3 as she was always fascinated about India.
''I am really excited of making my first trip to India which has always fascinated me. I'm sure Serena (Williams) and I will make some plans together.
''As of how, it seems our father would also be joining us at Bangalore,'' she said.
Venus said Indian culture had always fascinated her and she would plan what to do in the 'orient' during her long haul in the air from the US.
Now sixth in the WTA ranking, Venus said her sister had been her toughest opponent thus far as she knew her game better than anyone.
''We practiced together since we started playing and I believe she has more weapons than anyone on the tour,'' she said.
To a question, she said she had never been approached by anybody to throw or fix a match.
