Sania Mirza set to marry longtime friend Shorab

Hyderabad, May 29: The tennis star who stole trophies and won hearts, Sania Mirza is all set to get engaged on July 10 with her longtime friend Shorab Mirza.

According to family sources, the couple were friends since school days and the families have known each other for a long time too. The groom is reportedly pursuing his further studies and the families had discussed the proposal some time back and agreed, the source said.

The families are now waiting for the Tennis ace, who is playing the French Open, to start preparations for the engagement ceremony.

As far the details of the relationship are concerned it is just limited to a few quiet dates and 'we are just good friends' statements, say media reports.

Sania Mirza who is accompanied by her father, Imran Mirza in Paris is out of the Singles Tournament. She has however qualified for the doubles along with her Taiwanese partner Chia-Jung Chuang.
