Sania-Peer advance to 3rd round, meet top seeds
London, July 3 (UNI) Sania Mirza and her Israeli partner Sahar Peer sailed into Wimbledon doubles third round with a 6-4, 6-3 victory over Hunagarian Agnes Szavay and Vladimira Uhlirova of Czech Republic here today.
The 16th seeded Indo-Israeli combination now runs into top seeds Lisa Raymond of USA and Samantha Stosur of Australia for a place in the quarter-finals.
Sania, who lost to Nadia Petrova of Russia in the singles second round, will pair Mahesh Bhupathi in the mix doubles and they are up against David Skoch (Czech Republic) and Janette Husarova (Slovakia) in the first round.
