By MyKhel Staff

The ITF-J30 Bengaluru tournament culminated in a thrilling set of finals, where top-seeded Sehaj Singh Pawar and fifth-seeded Mahika Khanna delivered standout performances, clinching titles in their respective under-18 categories.

In the Boys' Singles under-18 final, Karnataka's Sehaj Singh Pawar, the tournament's top seed, demonstrated his superiority on the court with a commanding 6-2, 6-1 victory over Delhi's Ojas Mehlawat, the fifth seed.

From the outset, Sehaj controlled the match with his powerful serves and relentless baseline game. His consistent shot-making and aggressive play left Ojas scrambling to find answers. Despite his efforts, Ojas found it difficult to match the top seed's intensity and precision, resulting in a swift two-set victory for Sehaj.

Sehaj's performance throughout the tournament was a testament to his hard work and growing reputation in Indian tennis. His victory in the final solidifies his position as one of the most promising young players to watch in the future.

The Girls' Singles under-18 final saw Uttar Pradesh's Mahika Khanna rise to the occasion with a stellar 6-3, 6-4 win over Karnataka's fourth seed, Snigdha Kanta. Mahika's game was built around heavy topspin groundstrokes and precise serving, keeping Snigdha constantly on the back foot.

Her ability to dictate the pace of the rallies, particularly with her powerful forehand, proved decisive in securing the victory. Mahika's composed play under pressure was a highlight of the match, as she consistently found ways to neutralize Snigdha's attempts to change the momentum. Her victory adds to her growing resume, making her another player to watch in upcoming national and international events.

The prize distribution ceremony was graced by prominent figures in the tennis community. Mr. M S Parswanath, Director of Projects & Facilities at Jain Group of Institutions, along with Karnataka State Lawn Tennis Association (KSLTA) Hon. Treasurer Mr. Naganand Doraswamy and ITF supervisor and Executive Council member Mr. Petervijay Kumar, presented the awards to the winners and runners-up.
