Sharapova's 'dress-sense' caused her demise at Wimbledon

By Staff

London, June 27 : Maria Sharapova's 'tuxedo' look might have provided some thrill to her male fans, but for fellow Russian Alla Kudryavtseva, the former's glitzy outfit did something else - it gave her the motivation to beat the World No. 2 tennis player.

Kudryavtseva made her second-round Wimbledon victory over Sharapova by 6-2 6-4 on June 26.

Kudryavtseva, ranked 22 in Russia admits that she didn't like Sharapova's glitzy outfit, and this is what motivated her to beat the tennis ace.

"It's very pleasant to beat Maria. Why? Well I don't like her outfit. That was one of my motivations," The Sun quoted her as saying.

"It's a little too much of everything. I'm not very good in fashion. She experiments and I give her credit for that. Sometimes she has good ones, sometimes not.

"That's my personal opinion. Maybe someone will tell me I dress terribly," she added.
