Sumit Nagal, who is the 71st ranked singles tennis player in the world, announced his qualification for the upcoming Paris Olympics 2024 on Saturday, June 22. The 26-year-old announced the news on social media platform X.

"Extremely glad to share that I have officially qualified for the 2024 Paris Olympics. This is a monumental moment for me as the Olympics holds a special place in my heart!" Nagal, who turned pro in 2015, wrote.
Nagal's journey to qualification was bolstered by his recent triumphs, including a victory at the Heilbronn Challenger, which helped him climb into the top 80 of the ATP singles rankings.
Earlier this season, the Jhajjar-born star also secured the Chennai Challenger title and made commendable strides in other major tournaments, including the Australian Open and ATP 1000 events like the Indian Wells Masters and Monte-Carlo Masters.
