Tennis divas set hearts on fire with ramp show

By Staff

Kolkata, Sep 17 (UNI) They boast of killer strokes on the court, but when they bat their eyelids, it's a look to die for.

Last night thirteen of the tennis stars from across the World, did the same as they pumped up the excitement during a fashion show at the ITC Sonar Bangla here. ITC's band of trendy women's wear presented a fashionable prelude to the Sony ericsson WTA Tier III Sunfeast Open tournament.

On a night of Priet a por, Marion Bartoli and Maria Kirilenko left the crowd on their feet with their all black skirts and blouse.

While the French lady was a tinge conscious while walking the ramps, Kirilenko was all style and grace, with a flashing smile and a gait that would sent the top models on a tailspin.

No less adorable was Yaroslova Shvedova and Czech beauty Hana Smorova, in Capri and t-shirs.

But you could see the mercury rising as draped in an all-red dress and white trunks Sunitha Rao tap-tapped the wooden ramps.

Cheers flowed like beer and the flashbulbs worked overtime as she stopped walked and waved, waved, walked stopped and turned like any of the professionals would do.

Tara Iyer had a bumpy ride to the ramps, but Isdha Lakhani and Sana Bhambri more than made up for the little slip as the trio made a casting coup over the Kirilenkos set the woodwork on fire earlier.

Among the others who set the hearts fluttering with their moves included Alexandra Wosniak, Vania King and Marta Domachowska.

The Miss Players Fashion Show was presented in a unique format with live bands interacting with the runway divas during the ramp sessions. The ensembles told the story of colours with each section reflecting the various vibrant moment's of a young women's life covering chic formal wear, trendy casual wear and exhilarating party wear.

While the players rocked and hearts rolled, the professional models like Jesse Randhawa, Joey matthews and Candice Pinto couldn't but help looking up in wonder.
