Tennis star Simona Halep loses the boobs and the French Open title too

London, May 27 (ANI): Teenage tennis star Simona Halep went under the knife to reduce her breasts, but that didn't help her get ahead at the French Open.

The 18-year-old player felt uncomfortable while playing because of her big boob size.

And thus, she ignored a fans' petition pleading with her to forget about breast reduction and went ahead with the op and her chest is down from 34DD to a more modest 34C cup size.

Simona, who won the junior French Open in 2008 and is now ranked 114 in the world, said she has never liked her breasts.

"The weight troubles me and my ability to react quickly. My breasts make me uncomfortable when I play," the Mirror quoted her as saying.

"I don't like them anyway. I'd have gone for surgery even if I hadn't been a sportswoman," she added.

But Simona struggled at the French Open in at Roland Garros in Paris this week, crashing out to Aussie Samantha Stosur in the first round of the season's second Grand Slam event. (ANI)
