US Open: Leander chasing his third doubles title

Bangalore, Sept 8: On Sunday, India's ace tennis player Leander Paes and his Czech partner Radek Stepanek are ready to create a history at Arthur Ashe Stadium, New York.

The Indo-Czech pair will take on Austria-Brazil pair of Alexander Peya and Bruno Soares in the US Open men's doubles final.

Earlier, Paes and Stepanek ended Bob and Mike Bryan's chances of winning the calendar-year grand slam with their three-set win in the semi-finals.

40-year-old, tennis maestro, Paes will be chasing his third US Open doubles title and eighth major of his career.

Paes will be playing his seventh men's doubles final at US Open, winning twice and lost four so far.

Overall, this will be his 16th Grand Slam men's doubles final. He also owns six Grand Slam mixed doubles titles from 14 finals.
