Karnataka's tennis players have recently made a significant impact in national tournaments. In Hyderabad, Bhrithi Velladandi claimed the Girls' Singles title at the NS U-12 tournament, hosted by Ash Sporting Academy. Her victory highlights the growing prowess of Karnataka's junior tennis scene.

In Chennai, Harshini N secured the Women's Singles title at the AITA 92.5 Lakh Men & Women Tennis Tournament. This win reinforces her status as one of Karnataka's leading tennis players.

Karnataka Players Shine in Tennis Tournaments

The Indium AITA 1 Lakh Wheelchair Tennis Tournament 2025 in Chennai saw Karnataka players excel. Shekar V triumphed in both Men's Singles and Doubles, partnering with Balachandar from Tamil Nadu for the latter.

In the Women's category, Shilpa K P emerged victorious in Singles by defeating fellow Karnataka player Prathima N. Shilpa K P then teamed up with Shilpa K to win against Prathima N and Mubeena M K in Women's Doubles, where they finished as runners-up.

Anil D and Basavaraj M also showcased their skills by securing second place in Men's Doubles. Their performance further underscores Karnataka's dominance in wheelchair tennis competitions.

The recent achievements of these athletes reflect Karnataka's growing influence in Indian tennis, particularly among juniors and wheelchair categories. These victories not only highlight individual talent but also demonstrate the state's commitment to nurturing diverse tennis talents.
