The Wimbledon 2023 seeds were announced on Wednesday (June 28). The Grand Slam tournament is set to start from July 3 onwards at the All England Club in London.
And in the seeds, Men's number one ranked player Carlos Alcaraz has been given the top rank, followed by Novak Djokovic. The Serbian is given a place below Alcaraz despite winning the French Open earlier.

With this seeding, the top two players can only meet in the Final. In the Women's singles category, world no. 1 Iga Swiatek is handed the top seed while Aryna Sabalenka has got the 2nd seed.
Former Wimbledon winner Andy Murray missed out on a seeded spot by a whisker. The 2013 and 2016 champion had a topsy-turvy time prior to the tournament. He won the Surbiton and Nottingham challengers, he lost at the ATP 500 event at The Queen's Club.
Russia's Daniil Medvedev, who will play as a neutral as Wimbledon banned the entry of Russia and Belarus, is the 3rd seeded player. Greece star Stefanos Tsitipas is 5th seeded, whereas Cameron Norrie is the highest-seeded British player (12th).
