Wimbledon final: Leander Paes gunning for 16th Grand Slam title

Wimbledon, July 11: Indian tennis ace Leander Paes is all set to play the Wimbledon mixed doubles final on Sunday with Swiss veteran Martina Hingis. The 42-year-old is gunning for his 16th Major trophy.

"Always got each other's back @mhingis..playing my 33rd Grand Slam Final on Sunday @Wimbledon .. Going for #16," Paes tweeted, also attaching a photograph of him embracing Hingis on the outdoor grass courts of the All England Club.

Paes already has eight men's and seven mixed doubles titles at Grand Slam events, including one men's doubles and three mixed doubles crowns here.

Paes and Hingis, seeded seventh, defeated American top seeds Mike Bryan and Bethanie Mattek-Sands 6-3, 6-4 in the semi-final on Friday. They will play Austrian-Hungarian fifth seeds Alexander Peya and Timea Babos for the championship.
