Two Wrestlers accuse WFI Chief Brij Bhushan of inappropriate touching of Breast, Belly during warmups

The whole nation has been rocked by the accusation of some eminent wrestlers against the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) chief for sexual harassment.

The elite names of Indian wrestling are on the road for some time now, protesting against the vehement activities of WFI Chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh. They are calling for the arrest of Brij Bhushan, who is accused of several offences.

What are the allegations against Brij Bhushan?

Brij Bhushan has been accused of several instances of inappropriate groping and touching along with physical contact during competitions, warm-ups. He is also accused of the same things in the New Delhi office of WFI. The offences are already lodged and documented as per the statements of the female wrestlers.

The Charges against Brij Bhushan

Supreme Court had intervened in the matter recently, and after the intervention of the apex body of India's judicial system, Delhi Police has now lodged two FIR's against Brij Bhushan.

"The first FIR has been registered under the POCSO Act along with relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). It was filed based on the allegations of a minor. The second FIR was registered for a comprehensive investigation into the complaints by other complainants under relevant sections pertaining to outraging of modesty," a Delhi Police statement said.

Two Athletes accuse Brij Bhushan of Touching Bellies, Stomach

According to Indian Express, two complainants have described that Brij Bhushan touched their breasts and stomach sexually while pretending to check their respiratory patterns. Out of the seven female wrestlers who accused the WFI chief, two have come forward and have filed cases against the WFI chief.

The complaints were lodged at CP Police Station, New Delhi on April 21. It is reported that 8 instances of sexual harassment have been lodged - which occurred in warm-ups, a competition, an office and even at a restaurant.
