ONE World Champion Joshua Pacio Credits Wife For Keeping Him Grounded Before July 10 Title Rematch
Reigning ONE Strawweight MMA World Champion Joshua Pacio opened up about his wife Anna Galleo's crucial role in his life and career. The Filipino legend will defend his belt against Russian grappler Mansur Malachiev in their rematch at The Inner Circle 21 on July 10, live on live.onefc.com.
"The Passion" married his longtime girlfriend Anna last December. The union marked a significant life milestone for the 30-year-old. Now he credits his wife with helping him navigate the pressures of championship training.

Pacio revealed how Anna contributes directly to his training camp success. She handles meal preparation daily while ensuring his nutritional needs are met. Her involvement extends beyond cooking into the planning necessary for world-class athletic preparation.
"She's been an absolute godsend for me, especially in my career. She helps me with my meal plan, cooking for me every day. She really makes this training camp easier," Pacio said.
Pacio admitted feeling impatient about defending his title. The competitive fire burns hot within him, creating urgency that sometimes clouds judgment. His wife helps manage those emotions through perspective and faith.
"Lately I've been so eager to fight. I just want to get in the ring and defend my title. I feel impatient sometimes, but she keeps me grounded. She's helping me to stay calm, reminding me to trust in God's timing. She really helps me in that aspect," he said.
Her role as spiritual anchor carries profound importance. Champions often struggle with impatience when facing delays or obstacles. Anna reminds Pacio that timing matters more than urgency.
Pacio's marriage has fundamentally shifted his motivational framework. Before, he fought for personal glory and individual achievement. Now he carries responsibility for his wife's wellbeing while envisioning their shared future together.
"I can say it's added motivation. I'm no longer just thinking about myself. Of course, we're two individuals, but we're one now. I'm now thinking about future plans, future children, maybe businesses," Pacio said.
