The ongoing fight of the wrestlers against the WFI chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh is making roars. The wrestlers are yet to receive any government assistance amid their allegations of sexual harassment against Brij Bhushan.
And amid their protest, the Karnataka election result has created a stir among them. The Karnataka Legislative Assembly Election 2023 results are being counted and the ruling party BJP look set to relinquish their crown in the Southern State.

And as the results of the trend started to come on Saturday, the wrestlers labelled the outcome as 'a curse to BJP' for not cooperating with the female wrestlers.
At the time of writing this article, Indian National Congress (INC) are leading in 137 seats and comfortably ahead of the magic figure of 113, while the ruling party BJP have lead in just 63 seats.
With the condition of anonymity, one wrestler expressed a stern grievance against the ruling party of the central government. The wrestler opined that the BJP government must listen to people's concerns, or else they will keep losing.
"The attitude of the current government is not good for the nation. We have seen what happened to previous governments," the wrestler said to IANS.
"How can they ignore Olympic medallists? The BJP ruling government has to rethink before they lose other states and then general elections, which is next year. What is more important for them? People or corrupt leaders? The Karnataka result is the curse of women wrestlers to BJP," he added.
The wrestlers have been on protest against WFI chairman Brij Bhushan, who is also a BJP MP. Elite wrestlers across the country have joined the protest and Delhi Police already has taken steps and questioned the WFI chief against the allegations.
Another wrestler present in the protest though believes the deliberate delaying of Brij Bhushan's arrest is only due to his political connections, but emphasized they will keep fighting till the end.
"We all know what is happening and who is saving him! He has a strong political connection and also a vote bank are the reasons why he is getting VIP treatment. Olympic medallists are sitting here and the government of India is least bothered. What to say? But we will continue to fight till he gets arrested," the wrestler said.
Seven women, including a minor, have already given their statement against Brij Bhushan and federation's assistant secretary Vinod Tomar and FIR has been also filed against the duo.
