ONE Fight Night 41: Pawel Jaworski Set for World Title Clash with Tye Ruotolo
Opportunity rarely announces itself at convenient moments, but champions seize it regardless. Polish grappling sensation Pawel Jaworski will challenge ONE Welterweight Submission Grappling World Champion Tye Ruotolo in his promotional debut at ONE Fight Night 41 on 14 March in a 10-minute title contest.
The 21-year-old Academia Gorila representative has already accomplished what most grapplers spend entire careers chasing. Jaworski earned his black belt at just 21 years of age and currently reigns as the IBJJF No-Gi World Champion, adding gold medals from No-Gi Pans and No-Gi Europeans to his decorated resume.

Standing across the mat will be Ruotolo, a 23-year-old American phenom who remains undefeated in ONE Championship with a perfect 10-0 record. The reigning king returns to submission grappling after securing two impressive victories in mixed martial arts.
The opportunity to face Ruotolo came at an unexpected moment for Jaworski. ONE Championship reached out to the Polish star between his semifinal and final matches at the IBJJF Worlds in December, catching him completely off guard.
"I was surprised. We got contacted by ONE between the semifinal and the final of IBJJF Worlds in December. So, I was a bit shocked, but I was very happy to get this fight with Tye," Jaworski said.
"At the beginning, I just got the information about getting the fight in ONE. So, we immediately accepted that. And then my coach told me that it's a title matchup. So, it was really exciting, and I'm really happy to have it."
Despite his youth, Jaworski has studied the Ruotolo brothers extensively and believes he understands the chaotic brilliance that has made them two of submission grappling's most dominant forces. The Polish challenger respects their ability to create and control chaos simultaneously.
"The style of the Ruotolo brothers is very chaotic, but they control the chaos that they are making. I hope this match will finish by submission, and it's gonna be entertaining for the people. It's hard to predict because anything can happen," he said.
