Indian wrestling contingent will begin their Paris Olympics 2024 campaign on Monday (August 5) at the Grand Palais Ephemere in Champ de Mars in Paris. And the nation will hope the grapplers add to the medal tally.
The six-member Indian Paris Olympics wrestling squad includes the likes of Aman Sehrawat, Vinesh Phogat, Anshu Malik, Antim Panghal, Reetika Hooda and Nisha Dahiya. All the six wrestlers will compete in their respective weight categories in freestyle wrestling.

Phogat will have to shake off a tumultuous build-up to the Paris Games when she takes mat in her third straight Olympics event, aiming for an elusive Olympic medal, while Anshu Malik will return for her second Olympics.
The other four, who also strive to write their own success stories at the biggest stage when the wrestling event begins, will be making their Olympic debut in Paris this coming week.
In the women's freestyle events, Vinesh moves down a weight category to 50kg after Antim Panghal qualified in the 53kg category. Anshu Malik will compete in the 57kg category like in Tokyo 2020, while Nisha Dahiya and Reetika Hooda will wrestle in the 68kg and 76kg category respectively.
In the men's freestyle event, Aman Sehrawat has replaced Tokyo 2020 sliver medallist Ravi Dahiya, whose comeback was marred by injuries. All hopes in men's wrestling will hinge on Aman after Bajrang Punia, bronze medallist in men's 65kg at Tokyo 2020, did not make the cut.
Both the Greco Roma and Freestyle Wrestling events begin on (August 5) in Paris 2024. However, the opponent will be known only on the preceding day of the bout as the draws for their matches are made one day prior to their events. Here is a look at the Indian wrestlers' bout dates, tentative times in IST:
