Suhani Bhatnagar - the young actor who essayed the character of young Indian wrestler Babita Phogat in the Bollywood movie Dangal - is no more. At the tender age of 19, Suhani's journey came to a tragic end, leaving behind a legacy of exceptional talent and unfulfilled dreams.
In the 2016 film "Dangal," Suhani Bhatnagar captured hearts with her portrayal of the spirited young Babita Phogat, the talented wrestler who defied stereotypes and shattered barriers to achieve greatness along with her elder sister Geeta Phogat.

Her performance was nothing short of captivating, earning her widespread acclaim and admiration from audiences and critics alike. Alongside Aamir Khan, who portrayed the role of Mahavir Phogat, Suhani brought to life the inspiring story of the Phogat sisters with authenticity and grace.
Born with a natural flair for acting, Suhani Bhatnagar quickly made a name for herself as a versatile child artist in Bollywood. However, it was her role in "Dangal" that catapulted her to newfound fame and recognition. Despite her young age, Suhani's talent and dedication to her craft were evident in every scene, leaving an indelible impression on the hearts of viewers.
Babita Phogat, who clinched the gold medal in the 2014 Commonwealth Games, also secured silver medals at the 2018 and 2010 Commonwealth Games, along with a bronze medal at the 2012 World Wrestling Championships.
Beyond her on-screen achievements, Suhani was known for her humility and down-to-earth nature. Despite the adulation she received for her role in "Dangal," she remained grounded and focused on her studies. In interviews, she spoke of her aspirations to return to the film industry after completing her education, eager to explore new opportunities and showcase her talent on the big screen once again.
Tragically, Suhani's promising journey was cut short by a devastating turn of events. A freak accident resulting in a fracture in her leg led to complications during treatment, ultimately leading to fluid accumulation throughout her body as a side effect of the medications she had been prescribed.
Despite the best efforts of medical professionals at Delhi's AIIMS hospital, Suhani succumbed to her condition, leaving behind a void in the hearts of her loved ones and fans. Suhani will be consigned to the mortal flames at the Ajronda crematorium in Sector-15, Faridabad (Haryana).
