WFI Renews Partnership With Inspire Institute of Sport Until 2029 to Boost Indian Wrestling
New Delhi, July 6: The renewed Contribution Agreement follows a previous collaboration that ended in 2023. IIS, promoted by the JSW Group, will keep working with WFI on national wrestling camps and athlete development programmes, with support in sports science, strength and conditioning, recovery, performance analytics and international-standard training.

The agreement also covers high-performance planning, athlete support initiatives and branding opportunities. IIS will continue to provide performance support systems for Indian wrestlers preparing for international competition. The partnership is presented as part of IIS and JSW's wider effort to strengthen India's Olympic sporting system and help wrestlers compete on the world stage.
IIS is based in Vijayanagara, Karnataka, and is India's first privately funded Olympic high-performance training centre. It supports elite athletes across Olympic disciplines through coaching, sports science, performance support and athlete development programmes. WFI is India's national governing body for wrestling, handling the sport's promotion, national championships, athlete pathways and international participation.
