Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns wasn’t present on WWE SmackDown, this week but he will be back to have a face-off segment with his cousin Jey Uso ahead of their championship match at Summerslam.
Over on this week’s Smackdown, Jey Uso cut yet another passionate promo and made it clear that he has no respect left for Roman Reigns, whatsoever in light of what transpired a week after Money in the Bank PLE.

Paul Heyman (with Solo Sikoa) appeared to interrupt and blame Jey for the disbanding of Judgment Day and especially the beatdown that Jimmy Uso suffered last week from Roman Reigns. Sikoa also echoed a similar sentiment.
Eventually, Sikoa attacked Jey only to receive a series of chair shots and superkicks for causing trouble, again. The segment ended with Jey eventually landing a superkick for The Wiseman, Paul Heyman.
It was during this segment that Heyman informed Jey about Roman Reigns’ return to Smackdown, next week as he will meet face-to-face with Jey "to discuss the rules of engagement" for their Summerslam match.
Following the loss suffered by Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa to The Usos at Money in the Bank, The Bloodline featured in a Tribal Court segment on the MSG edition of Smackdown where Jimmy Uso was brutally attacked.
Afterwards, Jey returned through the crowd and took out Sikoa before getting a chair shot on Reigns before the latter escaped through the entrance ramp. Jey beat Sikoa down with multiple chair shots before turning his attention to Roman's championship belt.
"I don't give a damn about no brothers, no 'Wise Man.' Just me and you, one on one," was the simple message from “Main Event” Jey Uso so he can whoop Roman’s a** at Summerslam.
The challenge is yet to be officially accepted but given that Roman’s return is confirmed for the “Rules of Engagement” segment, it’s a no-brainer that Roman vs. Jey will eventually headline the Biggest Event of the Summer.
Next week, WWE Smackdown will be airing on FS1 instead of FOX Sports which is one of the reasons to have Roman Reigns onboard so that the viewership numbers remain steady as much as possible.
Meanwhile, Jey Uso’s twin brother Jimmy Uso would miss a series of Smackdowns as Michael Cole announced that he’s sustained a ruptured rib cartilage from Roman Reigns’ beatdown to be out of action for the foreseeable future.
