Bengaluru, August 24: All the "Edge"-heads out there would certainly want to see the WWE Hall of Famer heading into the sunset after a big match at next year's WrestleMania 40 but with All In waiting this weekend, AEW would be his next destination.
Whether or not Edge appears at this weekend's big PPV event in the United Kingdom, chances have increased that he could eventually be AEW-bound once his WWE contract gets officially over, be it this week or in September, per the earlier reports.

The 11-time World Champion Edge wrestled the last match under his current WWE contract against Sheamus during the 25th-year anniversary celebration on last Friday's episode of SmackDown in his hometown of Toronto.
Since that match went by, there have been a lot of speculations over The Master Manipulator's WWE career as he openly admitted in public that the match was his last in front of the Toronto fans.
In an update, PWTorch reports that Edge had approached WWE recently for his contract renewal and thereby presented the company heads with a scenario that would lead to him getting re-signed with the promotion.
While the specific requests made by Edge aren't known, WWE would ultimately end up rejecting it. As a result, the veteran wrestler is now believed to be heading to AEW and WWE is well aware of the situation.
WWE's unwillingness to re-sign Edge could be due to their merger with UFC's parent company Endeavor Group which is pending for next month. It's been rumored that budget cuts will force at least a few WWE Superstars to get released.
In recent times, WWE decided to part ways with major star power like Ronda Rousey by letting her go of the earlier contract following her Summerslam match against Shayna Baszler. Lacey Evans was also let go after her contract expired.
Edge's latest fallout with the company appears to be quite odd as he's one of the bonafide WWE-lifers like The Undertaker, John Cena, Triple H, or Randy Orton, and given he's still willing to continue wrestling at least for the upcoming few months.
Appearing on WWE's The Bump on YouTube, earlier today, The Rated-R Superstar did indicate that he wants to continue in WWE by naming wrestlers that he hasn't competed against in the past.
Here's what the 2012 WWE Hall of Famer had to offer, "Oh, wow. Oh. Who have I faced since I've come back? I don't know. Sami, Zayn. But there's going to be a few like there. There's not just one, [Matt] Riddle."
