Mariah May’s dominant run with the AEW Women’s World Championship continues as she looks forward to eliminating one more opponent from the active roster to secure the challenger’s spot on the AEW Battle of the Belts special.
Set to be aired this coming Saturday night right after AEW’s weekly Collision programming, the 12th edition of the quarterly event will have the women’s world champion competing on the card in a non-title bout.

The match has been advertised to air on Saturday, October 19 on TNT following Collision but in reality, it will be taped, tonight at the Adventist Health Arena in Stockton, California, the same venue that Collision will be taped, as well.
Since winning the top women’s title in AEW by defeating Toni Storm at All In PPV in August, May successfully defended the belt on three occasions scoring victories over Nyla Rose, Yuka Sakazaki, and Willow Nightingale.
Her most recent women’s world title defense came at the AEW WrestleDream 2024 PPV against former NJPW Strong Women’s Champion Willow Nightingale. May vs. Jay is the only match that’s been officially announced for Battle of the Belts.
