AEW Blood & Guts 2024: Team AEW wins; Champion gets new ally

After all the sins to the AEW roster and the management over the past few months, Team Elite was finally put to their place during the AEW Dynamite: Blood & Guts edition in the titular match of the night.

Team AEW (AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland, ROH World Champion Mark Briscoe, Darby Allin & The Acclaimed) defeated The Elite (AEW World Tag Team Champions The Young Bucks, AEW Continental Champion Kazuchika Okada, TNT Champion Jack Perry & "Hangman" Adam Page) in a Blood & Guts match.

The finish of the main event of the July 24 Dynamite saw Jack Perry getting handcuffed to the cage after which Darby Allin poured gasoline on him and threatened to light him on fire unless he agreed to a TNT title match at All In.

Perry spat at him in response which led Allin to bring a lighter. Another handcuffed Matt Jackson prevented Allin from setting Perry on fire and as the EVP of AEW, he agreed to the match on Perry's behalf.

Allin further insisted Matt say "I Quit" to end the match on behalf of his team to which he also agreed to save Perry. Afterward, the TNT Title Match for All In pay-per-view in August was officially announced between Perry and Allin.

In more news from the Blood & Guts edition of Dynamite, one of the brightest free agents from the pro-wrestling circuit, Kamille made her return to AEW and got herself aligned with TBS Champion Mercedes Mone.

In her returning match on TV after ten months, Britt Baker defeated Hikaru Shida on Dynamite. After the match, Mone came out and said she wouldn't agree to Britt's challenge laid down for a title match at All In.

As Mone was laughing to distract Britt, the former NWA Women's Champion Kamille made her AEW debut and attacked Britt from behind. After laying out Britt with a pump kick, Kamille further put her in a torture rack followed by an airplane spin powerbomb.

AEW Blood & Guts 2024 marked Kamille's first appearance on Dynamite since July 2021 after she confronted Leyla Hirsch ahead of their title match at that year's NWA Empower. She was done with her obligation with NWA in early 2023.
