AEW Blood & Guts 2024: The Glamour’s debut and more announced for July 24 Dynamite

Another star power could be in the making on AEW programming as Mariah May is set for a rejuvenation in her career in the upcoming edition of Dynamite, next Wednesday night also touted as Blood & Guts 2024.

The 2024 Owen Hart Foundation women's tournament winner has now been added to the lineup of the July 24 AEW Dynamite episode. During this week's Rampage, this segment was dubbed to be the "debut" of "The Glamour" Mariah May.

Two weeks ago, May won the Women's AEW Owen Hart Cup and booked herself in a women's title match against the champion Toni Storm at All In 2024. Shortly after the win, May turned on Storm with an attack that caused her to be hospitalized.

This led to a promo segment on this week's 250th episode of AEW Dynamite where May came out dressed as Timeless Toni Storm in a mockery and regretted not coming out of Storm's wings much earlier.

Now the announcement of this new segment set for Blood & Guts seems could be the reintroduction of Mariah May's "The Glamour" gimmick from the Stardom promotion in Japan. Before this, she was using Storm's old gimmick in the storyline for months.

As mentioned above, May is approaching closer to the biggest match of her career at the Wembley Stadium on August 25 against Storm in her home country of the United Kingdom and many assume her to be the one to end Storm's third title reign.

Also set for next week's AEW Blood & Guts, the new International Champion MJF will speak on the show. This comes a week after he defeated Will Ospreay for the title in a 60-minute match.

As announced previously, Team AEW vs. Team Elite will headline the AEW Blood & Guts 2024 episode from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee. The July 24 AEW Dynamite episode match card goes as follows:

• AEW Blood & Guts match: Team Elite (Matt & Nick Jackson, Jack Perry, Kazuchika Okada, and Hangman Page) vs. Team AEW (Swerve Strickland, Anthony Bowens, Max Caster, Darby Allin & Mark Briscoe)
• FTW Champion Chris Jericho defends against Minoru Suzuki (Brian Keith and Big Bill of The Learning Tree will be banned from ringside)
• Debut of "The Glamour" Mariah May
• New International Champion MJF in a promo segment
