AEW Dynamite: Big return and Saraya’s singles bout announced for June 5 episode

“The Salt of the Earth” MJF is set to make his much-anticipated return on AEW’s weekly television programming on the next episode of Dynamite and he’s expected to continue his feud with Adam Cole ahead of Forbidden Door PPV show.

MJF was absent from television since last December’s Worlds End but during this past weekend’s AEW Double or Nothing 2024 PPV he made a shocking return to television to renew his feud with Cole and declare that he isn’t leaving AEW.

Cole asked him for a hug and MJF gave him one but then he went on strike him with a low blow before hitting a brainbuster. The security then took Cole out of the ring as MJF cut a vicious promo to end the segment,

“Unlike those schmucks in the back, I don’t need a New Japan or Vince McMahon to make me a star, MJF made MJF. No more ha-ha, no more kangaroo kicks, no more bullsh*t, it’s all about hate, hate, hate. When you’re driven by hate, no one is safe.”

MJF’s return was announced during the latest episode of Dynamite to make the fans excited for next week. Rush also mentioned his name in a promo, hinting at a program against one of the four pillars of AEW.

In more updates regarding the June 5 episode of AEW Dynamite, one of the pioneers of the female roster, Saraya has been booked for a one-on-one contest against Mariah May. This one was pulled from this week’s Dynamite for undisclosed reasons.

The expectation was that a continuation of Toni Storm and Mariah May's ongoing feud with Saraya and Harley Cameron would continue through this match but after an announcement on AEW Control Center on YouTube, it was scrapped.

Saraya posted something cryptic in light of this cancellation which would have been her first singles competition since December 2023. Replacing this match, AEW announced Mercedes Mone's in-ring Dynamite debut and first TBS Championship defence against Skye Blue.

Amid some rumoured unhappiness, Saraya is now set for the long-awaited one-on-one matchup on the June 5 episode of AEW Dynamite which takes place at the Blue Arena in Loveland, Colorado. The two set matches for the show are given below,
