One of the four pillars of All Elite Wrestling, Britt Baker will return to the ring for the first time since her appearance at last month's All In, on the coming episode of AEW Dynamite.
Touted as the fifth anniversary of the flagship program of All Elite Wrestling, the former AEW Women's World Champion will compete against Serena Deeb. This came after the Baker's in-ring return was first announced during last week's Collision episode.

Upon hearing the announcement, Deeb issued a challenge to Baker later on the show via a backstage promo. However, the match between the two was only confirmed for the fifth anniversary edition of Dynamite during last night's Grand Slam edition.
Britt Baker has been absent from AEW programming for over ten months since last summer. Starting from September 2023, the hiatus continued for July of this year before she returned at the AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door PPV edition.
Soon after the return, she was inserted into a feud with TBS Champion Mercedes Mone. Baker picked up two back-to-back wins on Dynamite and Collision heading into the title match at All In.
But in the match that went down at the Wembley Stadium in London, England, Mercedes Mone retained with authority on August 25, 2024. Baker has not wrestled since that match which failed to earn praise from the fans and critics.
Baker's removal from television was also surprising given that she's already come back from such a lengthy hiatus. She was also initially absent from the promotional materials for the Dynamite 5th-year anniversary episode in her hometown of Philadelphia.
Being the first-ever signee assigned to the All Elite Wrestling female roster, it's fitting that Baker will be there onboard. Per previous confirmations, Will Ospreay will also defend the AEW International Championship against Ricochet on that night.
AEW Dynamite 5th anniversary episode is scheduled for next Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at the Peterson Events Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and more announcements regarding the show should come in the following days. The current match card goes as follows:
