As All Elite Wrestling is hyping things up for the annual Double or Nothing pay-per-view event, they will deliver a loaded episode of Dynamite consisting of a TNT title defense, two more matches, and a face-to-face segment.
In the opening match of this week’s Dynamite, Adam Copeland (FKA Edge in WWE) defeated Buddy Matthews to retain his TNT Championship. After the match, he wanted to seek revenge against the House of Black member.

After a backstage promo aired on Rampage featuring Saraya and Harley Cameron, Cameron issued a challenge to Mariah May for next week's Dynamite and that match was officially set. May lost to Serena Deeb on this week's Dynamite.
Finally, AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland will confront Christian Cage as the latter was revealed to be Swerve's Double or Nothing title match challenger on this week's Dynamite after which Christian and Killswitch laid out Swerve and Prince Nana.
AEW Dynamite May 8 episode will take place at the Rogers Place in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. As announced this week, the confirmed match card for the weekly television show goes as follows,
- AEW TNT Champion Adam Copeland defends against Brody King
- Orange Cassidy vs. Trent Beretta
- Mariah May vs. Harley Cameron
- Swerve Strickland & Christian Cage face-to-face
