The annual tradition of All Elite Wrestling visiting the Arthur Ashe Stadium for AEW Dynamite will continue through the return of the Grand Slam special episode and it will have a women's title match on the card.
All Elite Wrestling President Tony Khan announced via a social media post, last night that the reigning women's champion Mariah May will defend her Women's title against Yuka Sakazaki at the Dynamite Grand Slam set for next week.

After confronting May on Collision, Sakazaki competed in her first match on Dynamite since 2021 on the latest bygone episode. Teaming with Queen Aminata, she defeated May and Serena Deeb by disqualification in a tag team action.
May hit Sakazaki with her title belt to cause the DQ but that didn't allow her to escape the Grand Slam title match that Sakazaki has been looking for. Most recently, May retained her title against Aminata on Dynamite, two weeks ago.
Despite their differences, the team of Claudio Castagnoli, PAC, and Wheeler Yuta will put their AEW Trios titles on the line at Grand Slam 2024. Their opponents are yet to be named as a team is yet to accept the laid-out open challenge.
In a backstage segment that was filmed last week, Castagnoli, PAC, and Jon Moxley were seemingly proud of their attack on Bryan Danielson at All Out while Yuta was still confused as to which side he would take.
Moxley, Castagnoli, and Marina Shafir further proceeded to destroy Private Party & Komander on Dynamite. In a heinous act, Moxley took a hammer and hurt Isiah Kassidy's hand with it after Kassidy and Marq Quen took some verbal jabs at the former Blackpool Combat Club.
The 2024 AEW Grand Slam edition returns to the Arthur Ashe Stadium in Queens, New York, next Wednesday, September 25. The match card for the show containing multiple championship matches goes as follows:
