On this week's episode of Dynamite, the current AEW Women's World Champion Mariah May was scheduled for her first title defense since winning the belt from her former mentor "Timeless" Toni Storm at All In at Wembley Stadium.
Her opponent in this title defense, Nyla Rose put up a brilliant fight after May started off the match by slapping Rose around. May was picked up for an attempt at a Death Valley Driver, but May was able to escape.

Rose hit a crossbody and attempted to plant May over the top rope, but May countered with a dropkick. "The Glamour" countered with a big elbow strike only to receive a German suplex and a vicious clothesline.
The finish of the match saw May sending Rose sending her crashing onto the steel steps and then following up with a running knee. This was followed up with another running knee and a Storm Zero for the victory.
The segment on Dynamite ended with May celebrating her championship win in the ring. Surprisingly, no AEW Women's World Championship match has been announced for this weekend's All Out PPV match card.
Unlike this title, the AEW Continental Championship will be on the line at All Out despite the champion defending it on Dynamite. Putting up valiant efforts, Kazuchika Okada retained his title against Kyle Fletcher, last night.
Okada used the referee as a distraction to lure Fletcher back into the ring and he went right for the Rainmaker finisher. Fletcher unintentionally knocked out the referee and received a low blow before digesting the Rainmaker for the loss.
Soon after this match, Okada was further announced to defend his title in a Fatal-4-Way at All Out against three contenders who will be decided in three singles matches on this Friday's go-home edition of Collision. The lineups are given below:
