AEW Dynamite: Multiple big matches announced on April 3 episode

Mercedes Mone's arrival in All Elite Wrestling last month caused a stir in the AEW Women's Division and let alone in the professional wrestling industry as it hints at a promising upstart for promotions like AEW and NJPW.

At this point, Mercedes Mone is rumored to be the highest-paid female star in pro wrestling who is set to make her in-ring debut for AEW within a few weeks and a championship will also be involved in this match.

During the latest edition of AEW Dynamite, Mercedes Mone interrupted a passionate promo from her former rival Willow Nightingale about facing Julia Hart for the AEW TBS championship at AEW Dynasty in around two weeks.

The former Sasha Banks dropped a bombshell during this segment as she announced that whoever walks out of the AEW Dynasty pay-per-view as the AEW TBS champion will have her waiting as the new challenger at AEW Double or Nothing.

As recently confirmed by AEW, the 2024 edition of Double or Nothing will be hosted during The Memorial Day weekend as it takes place from the MGM Grand Garden Arena on Sunday, May 26. The venue will also host AEW Collision a night before the PPV.

Mercedes Mone announcing her first official AEW bout also marked the first match announcement for one of the four major pay-per-view shows of the company. She debuted in AEW during the Big Business edition in Boston, last month.

Another blockbuster match has been officially announced for next Wednesday's episode of Dynamite where the TNT Champion Adam Copeland will defend his title against Penta El Zero Miedo in a first-time encounter.

The match was announced during a promo session from the Rated-R Superstar who won the championship in a gripping I Quit match against Christian Cage on the March 21 episode of Dynamite.

Also, Thunder Rosa defeated Mariah May to become the Number-One Contender for Toni Storm's AEW Women's World Championship. The veteran will now challenge Storm at AEW Dynasty PPV set for April 21st.
