A new match has been announced for the AEW Double or Nothing PPV set for next month and it will be contested for the International Championship. With Roderick Strong being the champion, Will Ospreay was determined to be his challenger.
On the latest episode of Dynamite, Will Ospreay won a Casino Gauntlet Match to earn the right to face Roderick Strong for the AEW International Championship at Double or Nothing. Ospreay last eliminated Komander with the hidden blade to become the last standing person.

The other participants in the match were Jay White, Dante Martin, Penta El Zero Miedo, Kyle O’Reilly, Lance Archer, Komander, and Jay Lethal. Following the match, the match at AEW Double or Nothing was officially announced.
One of the angles that played out during the match was that Ospreay hesitated before using the Tiger Driver 91, a move that he said he would no longer use after he hit the move on Bryan Danielson at AEW Dynasty to cause the injury.
Backstage, Don Callis inquired Ospreay of why he didn’t use the move. Callis also pushed Ospreay to use the move on Strong since he has had neck issues in the past and that’s why the spot should be targeted.
With this, the second match for the annual Double or Nothing 2024 has been confirmed which will take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena on Sunday, May 26. The current match card for the PLE stands as follows,
- International Title Match: Roderick Strong defends against Will Ospreay
- TBS Title Match: Willow Nightingale defends against Mercedes Mone
In more news from Dynamite, Katsuyori Shibata will be challenging for the FTW Championship on the Wednesday, May 1 episode. Shibata issued a challenge to the FTW Champion Chris Jericho for a title match on next week's show during an interview segment with Renee Paquette.
