The professional wrestling world has long been buzzing with speculations around Mercedes Mone's (former WWE Superstar Sasha Banks) potential incoming to AEW after being away from public eyes since last summer.
Chances were also there that Sasha could rejoin the WWE in time for Royal Rumble but now that the PLE has passed by, Sean Ross Sapp and Andrew Zarian reported that the question seems to be not if, but when, the veteran talent will make her AEW debut.

The rumors got further fueled up after AEW owner Tony Khan was confirmed to make a big announcement on next week's Dynamite. While the details of the announcement were not explicitly revealed, it is believed to be around the former WWE Women's Champion.
There is a strong belief around the circuit that it might involve the signing of Mercedes Mone or the announcement of a Boston taping for AEW in time for Dynamite, where Mone could make her anticipated debut.
While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer talked about Tony Khan's upcoming announcement and speculated that it could be a double announcement, "I presume the announcement is a show in Boston and Mercedes Mone but could be a double announcement."
Meltzer also suggested that the remaining part of the double announcement might involve Kazuchika Okada since he remains a current free agent. Okada's ongoing New Japan commitments until the end of February wouldn't allow him to arrive in AEW until March 3rd.
"You know he's a free agent, as of right now. So he can go somewhere. There may be an agreement. If it's AEW and he doesn't announce it until after the 24th. I don't know that there is. I'm just saying there might be because he's still working New Japan shows until the 24th."
Although nothing is confirmed at this point, speculations are rife that her signing will be explicitly announced by the AEW and that appearance should also happen in an imminent manner.
WWE reportedly tried to bring Mercedes Mone under a contract but they didn't try to go for re-negotiations after the early deals failed possibly due to negotiations with money. It's also wiped out the chances of seeing her in Royal Rumble.
